Trafalgar At Leisure Tour starting in Dublin and finishing in Dublin

One of our longest and most leisurely Irish trips, the north and south come together, with all the famous cities and sights, and exclusive experiences like a private reception at Christ Church Cathedral.

Day By Day

Day 1 Arrive Dublin (2 Nights)

Welcome to Dublin. Spend the morning relaxing and enjoying the sights of Dublin. Later, meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception aboard a canal boat and cruise along Dublin's 200 year old Grand Canal. (WR) Stay: Jurys Inn Parnell Street

Day 2 Dublin Sightseeing And At Leisure

This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour which will include Trinity College, the grand Georgian Squares and Phoenix Park with a Local Specialist. Spend the rest of the day as you please, why not explore Temple Bar or Grafton Street, famous for its street performers? This evening consider joining an Optional Experience to an Irish cabaret. Day 3 Dublin - Belfast Sightseeing (2 Nights)

Head north to the bustling city of Belfast in Northern Ireland. See Queen's University, City Hall and the Titanic Quarter on your included sightseeing tour with a Local Specialist. Later visit the Titanic Belfast Visitor Centre for a Cultural Insight into the world's most famous ship which was built in this city. Dine tonight at your hotel. (FB/D) Stay: Stormont

Day 4 Giant's Causeway Excursion And Belfast At Leisure

This morning visit the Giant's Causeway, an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a free afternoon in Belfast. (FB)

Day 5 Belfast - Belleek - County Donegal (2 Nights)

Travel across Northern Ireland and through the picturesque town of Enniskillen near Lough Erne. At Belleek enjoy a Cultural Insight into Irish handcraft when you watch local craftsmen create its famous pottery. Later arrive in County Donegal where you dine tonight at your hotel. Day 6 County Donegal Orientation And At Leisure

Explore the town of Donegal located at the mouth of the River Eske and Donegal Bay. See the castle which was once the stronghold of the O'Donnell clan. During your free time explore the centre of town, known as 'The Diamond', beaming with music, poetry and cultural gatherings. (FB)

Day 7 County Donegal - Drumcliff - Ballymote - Galway (2 Nights)

From County Donegal travel south and see the fishing village of Mullaghmore where Lord Mountbatten once lived. Stop in Drumcliff to see the grave of W.B. Yeats. Later visit Ballymote and see the National Monument honouring those Irish who died fighting in the American Civil War, before continuing your journey to Galway. Dine tonight at your hotel. Day 8 Connemara Orientation And At Leisure

Take in the beauty of rugged Connemara with its loughs and mountainous landscape. The region was captured in the film 'The Quiet Man' with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. Later arrive at Kylemore Abbey, visit the restored rooms of the Abbey and walk through the Victorian Walled Garden. Return to Galway where you have free time to view the Cathedral or stroll through Eyre Square. (FB)

Day 9 Galway - Cliffs Of Moher - Scenic Coastal Route - Killarney (2 Nights)

Visit the magnificent Cliffs of Moher and see the history of the cliffs brought to life with a visit to the 'Atlantic Edge' exhibition. Travel through County Clare along a scenic coastal route, before arriving at your hotel in Killarney. This evening, why not take in the 'craic' at a traditional Irish ceilidh? Day 10 Ring Of Kerry Excursion

This morning enjoy a scenic drive along Ireland's most scenic coastline, the Ring of Kerry. Stop at Moll's Gap and take a moment to view the marvellous natural scenery. This evening is at leisure. (FB)

Day 11 Killarney - Blarney - Cork - Waterford (2 Nights)

This morning visit Blarney Castle and kiss the famous stone that will bestow the 'gift of the gab'. Travel to the city of Cork and enjoy some free time to explore the English market which is Ireland's most famous food market serving Cork since 1788. Later arrive in Waterford for a two night stay. Day 12 County Wexford Excursion To Visit The John F Kennedy Arboretum And Dunbrody Famine Ship

Travel through County Wexford this morning to visit the John F Kennedy Arboretum. Dedicated to the memory of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, President of the United States from 1960 to 1963, the Arboretum is a plant collection of international standing. See the beautiful lake and plants and the exhibition in the Visitor Centre. Later visit the three-masted famine ship Dunbrody and gain a Cultural Insight into the tragic plight of Irish emigration during the 1800's. Return to Waterford. (FB)

Day 13 Waterford - Kilkenny - Dublin

After a leisurely start visit the House of Waterford Crystal and enjoy a Cultural Insight demonstration watching skilled craftsmen produce wonderful decorative objects. Travel to the quaint town of Kilkenny where you will visit the Smithwick's Experience. Gain a Cultural Insight into the medieval origins of brewing and the history of Smithwick's, Ireland's oldest beer brand. Later enjoy a Be My Guest Farewell Dinner at Glenealy Farm with your fellow travellers and Travel Director. (FB/BMGFD) Stay: Ballsbridge

Day 14 Depart Dublin
